EFCC to Recover N29b Debt
Delta, Headlines, State News Saturday, May 26th, 2012DELTA State Government is set to engage the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in the recovery of over N29billion owed it by 135 companies operating in the state.
The state Internal Revenue Board said that the companies, which evaded various forms of taxes were, however, given two weeks to pay the debt or face the consequences of the law.
Chairman of the board, Hon. Joel Onowakpo, who disclosed this at a news briefing in Asaba, carpeted some banks which failed to remit to government coffer, after collecting taxes on behalf of the board.wp_posts
