Ex Gombe Gov., Goje, surrenders to EFCC

Ex-Governor of Gombe State, Alhaji Danjuma Goje, surrendered on Monday morning to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission at its headquarters in Abuja.
Goje, who is a now a senator, arrived at the EFCC office at 5.30am in company with some senators and aides.
He was immediately taken into custody for interrogation.
Goje, who ruled the staete from 2003-2011, had been declared wanted by the anti-graft agency for alleged corruption put at about N52 billion.
This was after he had shunned several invitations by the agency.
Three other former governors – Otunba Gbenga Daniel (Ogun); Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala (Oyo) and Aliyu Doma (Nasarawa) – were arested last week at different locations and taken into custody by the agency.
They are arraigned this week.
