Fayose promises to give rapid development to Ekiti State

After weeks of uncertainties,Ekiti State Governor-elect ,Mr Ayodele Fayose was finally inaugurated as the new governor of the state along with his Deputy,Dr Kolapo Olubunmi Olusola by the Chief Judge of the state,Justice Ayodeji Daramola with a vow to use his God given talent to give a rapid development to the state

Fayose was the governor of the state between 2003 -October 16,2006 until he left the saddle of the state in a controversial circumstances.

The new governor who wore a simple native attire white Dansiki with a cap to match, arrived Oluyemi Kayode Stadium,venue of the inauguration ceremony along his wife,Feyisetan with old Mercedes Benz 200 W110 1961-68 model,said he would bring everybody along in the project of developing the state.

In the well attended ceremony which took place at the popular Oluyemi Kayode Stadium,Ado Ekiti yesterday was witnessed by the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party,Alhaji Adamu Muazu along with no fewer than 16 PDP state governors, Fayose promised to restore the dignity of the state and continue with the people oriented programmes which he started in 2003

He promised to anchor his developmental strides with the promotion of five cardinal programmes,which he listed as follows :empowerment,agriculture,infrastructural development,education,science and technology,health and security

He said he arrived at this through a wide consultations with the people in their various communities

At the ceremony which equally witnessed the defection of six serving lawmakers in the state House of Assembly from APC to PDP

The lawmakers are Honorables
Olowo Ajiboye – Oye constituency two ,
Adeloye Adeyinka – Ikole One,
Abeni Olayinka – Ado Two
Fatunbi Olajide – Moba Two,
Olugbemi Joseph- Ikole One,
Adeojo Felix Ayodele- Ekiti South- West Two.
