FG reshuffles permanent secretaries

The Federal Government has effected a major shake-up in the Federal Civil Service with the posting and redeployment of Permanent Secretaries.
The posting and redeployment by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Prof. Oladapo Afolabi, was contained in a statement on Wednesday night by the Deputy Director (Press and Public Relations) in his office, Mr Tope Ajakaiye.
The HCSF also directed that “all handing and taking over formalities are to be completed on or before Friday(today).”
The redeployment saw two of the newly appointed permanent secretaries, Mrs. K. F. Anjoni and N.O. Emordi, being posted to the career management office, in the OHCSF and Ministry of Transport respectively.
But the third, Mrs. A. Daniel-Nwaobia, whose appointment takes effect from December, will in the meantime, act as Permanent Secretary, Economic Affairs in the OHCSF.
The redeployment also affected 18 other permanent secretaries.
These included Mr. D. B Ibe, formerly of the Economic Affairs Department, OHCSF who moves to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism; Mrs. I.A Odusote, formerly in the Department of Ecological Fund in OHCSF, goes to the Ministry of Power while Alhaji Salihu Gusau, formerly of the Police Service Commission moves to Information Ministry.
Others are Dauda Kigbu of the the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, OHCSF, who was transferred to Ecological Fund Department while Ibrahim J. Dauda of the State House, goes to new Ministry of Communication Technology.
Mrs.F.B. Bamidele of the Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry was transferred to the Ministry of Health; Mrs. E.B. Emuren, Ministry of Steel and Development goes to Women Affairs; and I.B. Sali of Power Ministry moves to Common Services Office in OHCSF.
