FG shares N424.5bn

THE three tiers of government yesterday, shared the sum of N424.578 billion from earnings in the month of March.

While the federal government took a total of N177 . 712 billion, the states and local governments received N 115. 211 billion and N86. 724 billion, respectively.

The oil producing states of the Niger Delta also received a separate N 37.428 billion.
An analysis of the revenue showed that N357.933 billion came from the statutory revenue, while the Value Added Tax, VAT, revenue was N59.144 billion.

According to the acting Accountant_General of the Federation, Mr. A. B Ogunsanya, gross revenue for the month under consideration stood at N 615.061 billion which was lower than the N721.258 billion received in February.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, was paid N 35 billion for petroleum products subsidy
