Former U.S. Presidential candidate, Herman Cain, dies from Coronavirus

(NNP) Former U.S. Presidential candidate, Herman Cain, has died of the coronavirus. Cain who was the only African-American to contest the 2012 Republican presidential primaries, tested positive two weeks after attending an indoor Trump rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At this rally, mask wearing was discouraged and social distance markers were taken off the venue. Cain himself did not wear mask at the campaign event.
Cain had been in the hospital for more than three weeks before his death on Thursday. On July 2, he tweeted that he had been admitted to an Atlanta area hospital to treat the virus, though it was not clear where and how he contracted the virus. He was the CEO of Godfather’s Pizza, Burger King and Pilsbury. He was 74.
