Foundation moves to halt ill-treatment of Nigerians abroad
Headlines Monday, June 24th, 2013LAGOS—EXECUTIVE Director of the Alegbe Collin Nigeria Foundation, Mr. Alebe Collins, said, weekend, that the foundation was set up to improve the lives of Nigerians at home and abroad.
Collins who spoke at an interactive session with newsmen in Lagos said the foundation seeks to build a country where every citizen, despite tribe and tongue would develop his or her full potentials.
He said the foundation would initiate intervention programmes where citizens who were wrongly treated abroad could be given legal support through representative offices in foreign countries, adding that it would work in close collaboration with the embassies, collect data and relevant information that will benefit relevant authorities.
Collins said the foundation’s clubs in secondary schools would target one million youths across the country in its drive to inculcuate its vision and mission through which action can be taken to change the focus and lifestyles of youths.
He stressed that can Foundation clubs in secondary schools would initiate annual subventions to schools whereby it will empower them at special dinners which would be attended by officials from the ministries of education and other corporate donors, noting that it intends to wipe out current deficits being experienced by schools.s
