Foyanmu, popular Yoruba musician, is dead
Headlines Monday, October 15th, 2012A popular Yoruba musician, Ogundare Foyan-mu, is dead.
The Ijala composer, aged 80, died on Saturday morning at his residence at Taraa, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, having spent about 67 years on the stage.
Foyanmu became famous for his dexterity in Ijala and produced his first album in 1956.
Before his demise, he had already produced about 20 albums.
He was buried in Ogbomoso on Saturday.
