Gombe releases N100m for payment of gratuity
Gombe, Headlines, State News Wednesday, September 28th, 2016Gombe State Government says it has released N100 million for the payment of gratuity to workers who retired from service in 2012.
The State Head of Civil Service, Dr Daniel Musa, on Wednesday said that N75 million would be used for payment of gratuities to 48 retirees while the remaining N25 million would be used in settling pension arrears.
He said that Gov. Ibrahim Dankwambo has promised to release N100 million monthly for the payment of accumulated gratuity to retirees in the state.
In his reaction, Malam Haruna Kamara, state Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, commended the Governor for “putting smiles on the faces of the retirees.”
