Group Backs Tukur For PDP Chairmanship
Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) Saturday, March 3rd, 2012A pressure group, Goodluck Nigeria International, has expressed the desire of its members, home and abroad, to mobilise Nigerians to support Alhaji Bamanga Tukur for the National Chairmanship of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The statement was contained in a press release by the national chairman of the organisation, Alhaji Lekan Yusuf, and made available to Saturday Tribune on Friday.
According to Yusuf, “Alhaji Tukur has built a high reputation that qualified him for the post, considering his past operations and achievements.” He added that as “a dynamic and foremost party in Africa, its chairman and other leaders must possess qualities acceptable to Nigerians.”
It also noted that investigations it conducted among Nigerians showed that “Alhaji Tukur is a very popular choice” for the post, urging him to “commence the process of assembling a dynamic team to work with him without delay.”
