I have valid European stay, I’m not in your class, Nigerian man tells fellow Nigerian passenger aboard KLM flight
Africa & World Politics, Headlines Saturday, May 12th, 2018
A video recordingof two unidentified Nigerian men in a heated argument aboard a KLM flight has surfaced online.
In the video, the two Nigerians engage in an argument over an unstated issue.
One of them appears to be really angry and insults the other who is seated and appears set for the flight.
In the typical Nigerian grandstanding, one of the men is heard asking the other man if he knows him, punctuating his sentences with “you’re a fool,” while ignoring other passengers’ intervention.
He rants at the other passenger who also returns the insults.
The flight crew intervenes, halting the heated argument that could have degenerated into a physical combat between the two men.
The more aggressive of the two boasts of being a regular traveller, informing whoever cares to listen that he isn’t in the same (social) class as the other person.
The argument becomes aggressive, as one of the men informs the other that he has a valid European stay and can stand up to the other man anywhere, even in Europe.
