IBB Tasks Youth on Aikhomu’s Virtues

Former Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida, at the weekend, expressed sadness over the death of his former second in command and military Vice-President, Admiral Augustus Aikhomu.
He also urged younger generation of leaders to emulate his good qualities.
Babangida, who was in Irrua, Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State weekend during the burial of Aikhomu said: “It is a very sad event for Nigeria and for those of us who has been closely associated with him.”
On the condolence register, Babangida had written: “Augustus Aikhomu was a patriot. Nigeria has lost a fine gentleman and soldier whose departure cannot be quantified. May God grant his wife and family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.”
