Jonathan appoints service chiefs
Latest Politics Thursday, October 4th, 2012Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the
appointments of New Service Chiefs.
The new appointments are:
Vice Admiral O. S. Ibrahim from Kwara state as Chief of Defence
staff, Rear Admiral D. J. Ezeoba from Delta state as Chief of Naval
staff, while Chief of Air staff is Air Vice Marshall A. S Badeh from
Adamawa state.
A statement issued by the president’s spokesman, Dr Rueben Abati
says the incumbent Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. O.A. Ihejirika from
Abia retains his position.
The statement adds: “President Jonathan thanks the outgoing
service chiefs for their meritorious and commendable service to the
nation and wishes them well in their future endeavours.”wp_posts
