Jonathan approves deployment of Permanent Secretaries

Abuja – President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja on Wednesday approved the deployment of some Permanent Secretaries.

This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja by Mr Tope Ajakaiye, the Director Press and Public Relations, Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.

It stated that Amb Godknows Igali, formerly of Ministry of Water Resources moved to Ministry of Power while Mr Baba Faruk of Youth Development takes over Ministry of Water Resources.

Mr Ossi Afemefuna of Ministry of Women Affairs was deployed to Aviation, Mrs Nkechi Ejele of Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (Manpower Development Office), was deployed to Tourism, Culture & National Orientation.

Dr Henry Akpan of Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (Special Duties) was deployed to Ministry of Communication Technology, while Dr Tunji Olaopa of Labour and Productivity now takes charge of Youth Development.

It stated that Dr Illoh Clement, was moved to Ministry of Labour and Productivity, Dr Jamila Shuara: Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (Special Duties) and Dr Habiba Lawal, Ministry of Women Affairs.

The statement added that Alhaji Isa Sali, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, announced the deployments.

It said Sali also directed that the process of handing and taking over should be completed on or before March 13. (NAN)
