Jonathan seeks confirmation of 25 ambassadors, NDIC MD

 

President Goodluck Jonathan has forwarded the name of Alhaji Umaru Ibrahim to the Senate for confirmation as managing director of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Jonathan also sent a list of 25 career ambassadors for the Senate’s confirmation. He also nominated Mr. Aghatise Erediauwa as Executive Director (Operations) in the NDIC.

President of the Senate, David Mark, read the President’s letter at the plenary on Tuesday. Jonathan also sent for appointment Chief Kalu Uko as a member of the National Assembly Service Commission.

He said Uko was nominated by the President of the Senate and would complete the tenure of the term of office of Dr. D.C. Nwachukwu.
