In June 2010, Jonathan launched a Facebook page to interact with Nigerians.
He also inaugurated several interactive programmes, including ‘Neighbour to Neighbour,’ to involve Nigerians in making free choices in the elections.
Meanwhile, the Goodluck/Sambo Campaign Organisation and former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar clashed again on Tuesday over the party’s presidential primaries. primaries taking place on Thursday. The Director of Media and Publicity Goodluck/Sambo Campaign Organisation, Mr. Sully Abu, dismissed Abubakar’s threat that he would defeat Jonathan at the primary election.
Abubakar, who flew into Minna, Niger State to meet with the party’s North-Central delegates shortly after being screened by the PDP panel in Abuja, said he would defeat Jonathan at the primary election the way he and other Nigerians killed ex-President Oluseguin Obasanjo’s third term agenda.
Abubakar, who was received by the Niger State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Musa Ibeto, referred to Jonathan as ‘an offshoot of third term.’
However, Abu said there was no comparison between the failed third term bid and Jonathan’s constitutional right to vie for the PDP’s presidential ticket.
