Letter: The rot in the Police College in Ikeja

President Goodluck Jonathan’s experience at the Police College, Ikeja should not be unexpected in a system filled with lies, unrealistic and unimplementable budget of N296.757m in 2012 for the whole 10 Police Colleges. I wondered what an average of N30m could do for maintenance of facilities including payment of trainees’ allowances of each Police College with particular reference to a place like Lagos. Our President should be more realistic in his approach than looking for scapegoats. We need to move forward and the time is now. The Police need adequate funding.

Olu Ajijola,

Lagos State,
