Love, Forgiveness panaceas to broken marriages, says Abioye

Abuja – The Vice President, Living Faith Church, Worldwide, Bishop David Abioye has urged couples to embrace love and forgiveness in their unions to forestall broken homes. Abioye gave the advice on Saturday in Abuja at the wedding ceremony of former Miss Minaro Macfrank to Emmanuel Oyo-Ita, the son to the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita. The solemnization of the union which took place at the Living Faith Church, Jahi was attended by Vice President Osinbajo, his wife, Dolapo and Cross River governor, Mr Ben Ayede. Abioye noted that marriage as an institution ordained by God could only be built and sustained by love, forgiveness and trust.

He urged the couple to engage in mature relationship and to forgive each other stressing that forgiveness was not a choice but a mandate from God. “I urge all husbands to see their wives as gifts from God, your perceptive in marriage determine the outcome, so choose to live in harmony, peace and love. “If we can forgive, we can live well in marriage because the lack of it is the root of every family breakage today,’’ he said. Mrs Oyo-Ita, advised the couple to shun third party in their relationship. “Marriage cannot work effectively with third party; you must live in love and harmony to grow a peaceful home,’’ she said. Other dignitaries at the ceremony included, the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr Nkem Okeke, Ministers of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Muhammed, Budget and National Planning, Udoma O Udoma. and Chairman of ICPC, Mr Ekpo Nta
