Maigari Assures Siasia of Support

PRESIDENT, Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Alhaji Aminu Maigari has said the body is at home with the plans of Samson Siasia on the newbreed Super Eagles.

‘’The NFF is happy with the coach as he begins the process of building a new team. From what we saw against Sierra Leone, there is hope for Nigerian football. We have always clamoured for the emergence of new, young players who will create room for competition. From their commitment and fighting spirit, things will get better. Our responsibility at the NFF as the custodian of the game, is to give all the necessary support to the coaching crew and the players. So far so good, we are on track and things can only get better as we move ahead.

”The coach has started well and we will do more for him because his success is our success and we cannot afford to see him and the team fail.’’

”On our part we have organised the first friendly game for him and we are happy that he has introduced some new players whom everybody have applauded.

On the welfare of players Maigari said’ one of our primary duties is to ensure that players get their dues promptly and we have demonstrated this by paying them all their entitlements after the game.

As far this board is concerned, we would never let the players and the country down, we know our duty to Nigerians and we shall continue to do it to the best of our abilities.

On the planned tour of the United States, the Bauchi born administrator said’ this will also afford the technical crew the chance to expose the players and possibly discover new ones. You know the coaches are still building and they need the backing of everybody to succeed.” Henceforth, on every FIFA free day, we shall endeavour to organise a game so that the players can get to know themselves and also blend well.
