Mass deployment of CPs in the police

THE Inspector-General of Police, IGP MD Abubakar, has ordered the redeployment of 14 Commissioners of Police (CPs) to Commands and Formations.
The affected CPs have been urged to vigorously step up the fight against all forms of criminality in their new Commands and Formations.
The 14 newly redeployed CPs are CP Lawal Tanko, moves to Borno State; CP Ibrahim Ahmed moves to Zamfara; CP Hilary Okpara moves to Bayelsa State; CP Maigari Dikko, moves to Ebonyi State; CP Adebayo Ajileye, moves to Inspectorate ‘E’ Dept, FHQ; while CP Adeola A. Adeniji, moves to Border Patrol.
Others affected are; CP Waheed O. Salau becomes CP Airport; CP Markus Danladi, Commandant, Police College, Maiduguri; CP Tonye E. Ebitibituwa, CP Training ‘E’ Dept, FHQ; CP Hyacinth M. Dagala, Deputy Commandant, POLAC, Kano; DCP Lawal Shehu, CP Admin, ‘E’ Dept, FHQ; DCP Ibrahim Adamu, Deputy Force Secretary; DCP Abdul D. Danwawu, becomes CP Armament while DCP Salisu F. Abdullahi moves to CP ‘x’ Squad.
According to the statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Frank Mba, all postings are with immediate effect.
The IG also enjoined them to leverage on the cordial relationship among sister security agencies in their respective beats, to ensure that criminal activities are reduced to the barest minimum.
He charged them to ensure that officers and men under their supervision are mindful of the rights of the citizenry, while cultivating the trust and confidence of the public in the discharge of their statutory responsibilities.
In a related development, the IGP has ordered Six (6) Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs) and 13 Commissioners of Police (CPs) from various Police Commands and Formations, including Zonal Commands and Force Headquarters, to proceed on a one week Leadership and Strategic Management Course for senior officers.
The Course being conducted at the Centre for Management Development, Shangisha, Lagos, commenced yesterday and end on Friday.
The IG said that the course is geared towards equipping the senior officers with requisite leadership and managerial skills necessary for driving the vision and mission of the current Police Management in line with ongoing reforms of the Federal Government.
He noted that training and re-training of Officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force is a cardinal policy of the present Police administration.
The affected senior Officers for the leadership course are:
AIG David O. Omojala, AIG Christopher Terhem Dega, AIG Tambari Y. Mohammed, Aig Mark Adamu Idakwo, Aig Sule Mamman And AIG Adisa Baba Bolanta.
Others are CP Isaac Chinyerem Eke, CP Marcus K. Danladi, CP Ahmed Ibrahim, CP Salihu Garba, CP Kudu Nma, CP Umaru U. Shehu, CP Usman Isa Baba, CP Saidu Madawaki, CP Usman Yakubu, CP Abdulmajid Ali, CP Abubakar Adamu Mohammed, CP Kayode C. Aderanti And CP Abdul Salami Iyaji.wp_posts
