Match against Namibia: It Is Nothing But Victory – Ahmed Musa
Headlines, Soccer, Sports Saturday, June 2nd, 2012NIGERIAN international forward Ahmed Musa says the Super Eagles are gunning for nothing but an outright win over the visiting Brave Warriors of Namibia in tomorrow’s 2014 World Cup qualifier billed for Calabar.
Musa who had earlier stated that the Eagles would not underrate the Namibians in the Group F match stated that victory is what Nigerians will be expecting from them.
”Victory, that is what Nigerians want and we the players too. We know the importance of this game in our quest to qualify for 2014 FIFA World Cup,” added the speedstar who called for total support from Nigerians to ensure success for the Eagles.
The former VVV-Venlo of Holland winger also spoke about the atmosphere in the Eagles camp preparatory to the encounter, describing it as lively.
”It has been fun. We are all here for a common goal which is to play for Nigeria and win. We are getting along very well. Everybody here is a professional and in everything there is always a first time,” hinted the player.
Musa, also added that the players were getting used to the weather which he said will not stop them from beating the Namibians.
Asked to make comparison between coahes Samson Siasia and Stephen Keshi, Musa sounded diplomatic saying: ”There is no reason to compare them. Both of them are fathers to the players, they have played the game to the highest level and are qualified coach. I enjoyed working with Siasia and I am now enjoying myself under coach Stephen Keshi.”wp_posts
