Moses can go, says Lawal as Musa, Iwobi pay tribute

Former Super Eagles midfielder, Garba Lawal said Nigerian football fans shouldn’t bother much about Victor Moses’ decision to quit the national team.

Moses, shocked his numerous fans and fellow teammates when he annouced his decision to walk away from the Nigeria set up.

“It’s not a big deal! that is his choice – he chose to play for Nigeria and now he has decided not to play,” Lawal told Goal.

“Is Victor Moses expecting us to beg him to play for the country? No one does that because Nigeria is such a big country with several talents.

However, teammates Ahmed Musa, Alex Iwobi and Shehu Abdulahi tweeted their support.

“It was a pleasure to play alongside such a great player. You have served your nation well and will always be remembered.

“Good luck in all you do @VictorMoses,” he wrote.

Shehu Abdullahi wrote, “I wish you all the best bro!”.

Alex Iwobi wrote “Thank you for paving the way for us. you achieved so much for our country. it was a pleasure to play with you, wishing you the best big,”
