Musa to lead Nigeria U-20s

Super Eagles starlet Ahmed Musa has been named in Nigeria’s 21-man squad to compete at the 17th African Youth Championship later this month.

Musa is one of seven players who play football outside the country.

Head coach John Obuh has named a squad that includes three goalkeepers, seven defenders, four midfielders and seven strikers.

The team, which rounded off their preparations with a 3-1 victory over Premier League club Sharks FC in their last tune-up game in Port Harcourt on Thursday, will now travel to Johannesburg aboard an Arik Air flight on Friday night.

Nigeria is in Group B of the tournament alongside world champions Ghana, Cameroon and The Gambia. Nigeria’s first match of the tournament is on Monday, 18th April against the Black Satellites of Ghana at the Rand Stadium.

The tournament runs from April 17 to May 1.
