Talented actress and former Miss Funke Akindele has now officially become Mrs. Khadijat Olufunke Oloyede, thanks to her recent marriage to Kehinde Oloyede in Lagos on May 24.
But some of her fans are unhappy that the resulting reception, which also took place two days later, was restricted to only members of her family and close associates.
Security at the superlative soiree was tight. The guests were required to produce an appropriate invite before they were allowed into the venue.
Only a few selected entertainers, actors and actresses, as well as show businessmen got the invitation cards and made their presence felt at the event. They included Genevieve Nnaji, Desmond Elliot, Ini Edo-Ehiagwina, Bimbo Thomas and Tiwa Savage.
In a brief chat with Life&Beat, Oloyede described his wife as “simply his missing rib.”
Mrs. Oloyede radiantly smiled and said, “I decided to spend the rest of my life with him because he is the only man I know that makes my life complete.”
