Nyako emerges winner in Adamawa guber election

YOLA – Admiral Murtala Nyako of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has been re-elected Governor of Adamawa State in the governorship elections conducted yesterday.
Declaring the results in Yola Sunday, the Returning Officer for the election, Professor Mohammed Hamisu Mohammed announced that a total of 685,103 votes out of the 1,843,619 voters in the state were recorded during the election.
He announced that of the total votes cast 26,850 were rejected or declared invalid.
According to him, ACN got 25% requirement in 7 local government, ADC and ANPP got none, CPC got 25% in three local governments, while PDP got the required 25% in all the 21 local governments.
