Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia, has lauded the assistance the United States Embassy in Abuja did in ensuring that the Super Eagles’ visa application is promptly attended to. Nigeria will feature in a tournament in the US beginning February 12 and the US Embassy’s Marcus Falion has been named by the coach in the rapid issuance of the visas to members of the team.

“Mr. Falion has been so nice and helpful to us. He did virtually everything to help my players in securing visas and we have been asked to come and take our passports back today with visas already in them,” said a delighted Siasia.

“I am also appealing to him to help our remaining players, who have just come back from CAF matches, to get visas when they visit the embassy today.”

Siasia told MTNFootball.com that the invitational tournament would be a platform for the players in the Nigeria Premier League to make a statement on their readiness to be a part of his main team.

“The players are in high spirits, ready to fight and prove themselves in the US. They are aware that this is a very big opportunity for them to make a statement that they too can make my team. They have done well in training which shows that they are really ready to learn,” Siasia said.
