Former Chief of General Staff, General Oladipo Diya, has said that apart from the issue of nepotism raised by ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo in his letter to President Muhammadu Buhari, there is no point in the 18-page letter.
Diya, a kinsman of Obasanjo, however, said the issue of nepotism should be looked into by Buhari.
Obasanjo had on Tuesday, released an 18-page letter to Buhari where he outlined the ineffectiveness of his government, chief among was the issue of nepotism.
Diya noted that by choosing the open way to addressing national issues, Obasanjo was merely following his traditional way of addressing issues.
He said: “You know Obasanjo has his own style of doing things. I just see that tied to him.”
On if Obasanjo was right in the content of the letter, the former second-in-command to late General Sanni Abacha further said: “I don’t see any point there. The only issue there is the accusation of nepotism. That should be looked into.”
