Ojukwu’s library attacked

From EMMANUEL UZOR, Onitsha

Some vandals suspected to be hired thugs have invaded the Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Library/ International Conference centre under construction in Owerri and pulled some parts of it down.

The leader of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, who is constructing the building, confirmed the attack. He said, “I attended a funeral ceremony with Bianca Ojukwu when my they called me to inform me that unknown people had invaded the Ojukwu Library and pulled down some parts of it.

I don’t know who did it, but I know it was done by sabotuers who wanted to destroy Ojukwu’s legacy.” Uwazuruike expressing surprise that a monument being built in honour of Ojudwu could be destroyed by faceless group, insisting that everything would be done to immortalize the late Biafran warlord.
