PDP’s 12-year rule, a complete waste – Ribadu
Latest Politics, National Politics Sunday, March 13th, 2011The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) presidential candidate, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has described the 12-year administration of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the country as a complete waste.
Speaking during a rally held at the Katsina polo ground, at the weekend, Ribadu said the ruling party had failed to address the basic problems of Nigerians such as electricity, water, among others.
According to him, Nigerians had always been fed with lies and nothing had improved, noting that the rich were getting richer, while the poor were getting poorer, as nothing good had come out of the 12-year rule of the PDP.
He maintained that it was time for change, calling on the electorate to give the ACN a chance to make the change for the better, as the party had vowed to ensure a credible leadership in the country.
“Give the ACN your mandate in the coming April general election and be part of a new world order, especially the youth and women, for the future,” he stated.
Ribadu added that his party intended to improve on education, health and other social services as well as make life meaningful for all.
Also speaking, a party chieftain and former governor of Lagos State, Chief Bola Tinubu, who noted that the ruling PDP had failed in the last 12-year to fulfill its promises, charged the youth to decide their future now by electing all ACN candidates in the April polls.
At the emir of Katsina and Daura palaces, the ACN presidential candidate, Mallam Ribadu solicited their support towards achieving his presidential ambition and urged them to assist with prayers for peaceful polls.
Responding separately, the emirs of Katsina and Daura, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir and Alhaji Umar Faruk Umar admonished the party presidential candidate and his entourage to put Allah first in all their dealings to succeed.
