Samuel Nakpoo and the live ammunitions found in the gang’s den

amuel Nakpoo, a member of a kidnapping and robbery gang on the Ogoni-Uyo axis of the East West Road in Rivers State has been killed by the police.
He was gunned down while trying to escape from policemen inside the forest camp of the gang.
Other members of the gang took to their heels on sighting the police.
The police team consisted of men of “Operation Sting” and Anti cultism unit led by CSP Ahijo Lawson.
Police had earlier arrested Nakpo and he had made a confession of his crimes.
He led the officers to their camp in a forest at Ogu/ Bolo local government area of Rivers State and attempted to escape.
The police shot him on the leg and took him to hospital.
Nakpoo was confirmed dead at the University of PortHarcourt Teaching Hospital.
Spokesman of the Rivers State Police Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni showed the weapons recovered in the busted caamp.
They are one GPMG, G-3rifles ,one SMG rifle,one rocket launcher, five pump action guns ,933 rounds of 7.62mm Live ammunition
Omoni assured that efforts are on to arrest the fleeing members of the gang.
