MONTREAL – Police in Thérèse-de-Blainville have confirmed that they were informed Monday by Kahnawake police that a young woman had been found alive in the Châteauguay region.
Police have confirmed that the woman, who identified herself as Sara Okafor, seems to have been the victim of a criminal offence. She was taken to hospital to receive appropriate care and will be met by investigators during the day.
Police in Thérèse-de-Blainville had asked for the public’s help in finding the missing 26-year-old woman over the weekend. Sara Okafor hadn’t been seen since she left her apartment in the Le Faubourg Boisbriand neighbourhood the evening of April 11.
The investigation is ongoing
