Season two Nigerian Idol, TV reality show winner, Chinwo Nnenda Mercy has expressed her desire to do a collabo with the duo of P-Square whose “Chop my Money” song won her the coveted prize.
Speaking on a television programme yesterday, Mercy who defeated Joe Blue, a co- contestant at the Grand Finale of the show held last Saturday at Dream Studio, Omole Phase I, Lagos, said doing a collabo with P-Square remains the only way she can be grateful to superstar musicians.
Winning the second edition of the reality show, Mercy walked away with the top prize of a recording contract, an SUV and a mouth-watering cash of prize of $100,000 (N15m).Mercy defeated Joe Blue after the acts rendered three songs and were heavily applauded by the audience.
The show kicked off when Hosts Ill Ryhmz and Tiwa Savage who was looking as ravishing as ever called the 12 finalists to render the National Anthem which was followed by a performance from Wizkid, W4, M.I and Chuddy K.
Judges Yinka Davies, Jeffery Daniels and Charly Boy commended the outstanding and brilliant performances displayed by Mercy and Joe Blue throughout the six months duration of the reality show.
Many people after Mercy was announced the winner were not surprised by the victory, as according to them, ‘ it was a well deserving victory.”
