Nollywood actor, Enebeli Elebuwa, 65, has died in an Indian hospital after a protracted illness. A former president of the Nigerian Guild of Actors, Segun Arinze, confirmed the death to Saharareporters.
Mr. Arinze described the actor as one of the best in the industry.
Efforts to reach the current President of the Guild, Ibinabo Fibersima, proved abortive as she is reportedly traveling in the UK.
However, Delta State Commissioner of Information, Chike Ogeah, told SaharaReporters by telephone that the late actor was sponsored to India by the state government after they found out he had been abandoned by colleagues. He said the actor was born in the northern parts of Delta state.
Mr. Enebeli was flown to India in June 2012 to receive treatment for diabetes and stroke.wp_posts
