Press Release: IHRC Offers a 7-Point Agenda for Peace in Syria

Dear Brother & Sisters

I am presenting the formula for peace talks for Syria and I hope that Nigerian Government and the whole world will support our efforts for achieving Peace and finding the path of democracy.

1. The Western powers and Arab countries must stop to back and support by all means to the armed opposition groups in Syria.

2. The Armed group should lay-down arms and start acting as democratic groups who believe in peace and empowerment of the people through peaceful table talks.

3. Syrian Government in response to this step must recognize the efforts for peace with dialogue and should enter in peace talks under the IHRC auspicious which should be supported by the United Nations, EU and OIC and Arab League.

4. Syrian government must stop the Military action and release all the political prisoners as the gesture for Peace talks under IHRC mediators.

5. Reforms in Constitution of Syria should be introduced through dialogues and with the participation of all political groups.

6. All efforts to destabilize the peace in Syria must end if the world want peace in the region, any move of foreign intervention or support for armed struggle must be address as terrorism.

7. IHRC will ensure to help and assist the people and government of Syria to come up with meaningful peace talks and move on the path of democracy in the country.

The International Human Right Commission put forward this 7 point agenda for peace to ensure the crisis in syria is resolved in best and timely manner for peace and progress.

The 7 point agenda is put forward by the IHRC World Chairman, Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Shahid Amin Khan and comminicated to the world Ambassadors and urge various government to support the path of dialogue.

I would like to invite the Nigerian Government and every one to assist International Human Rights Commission for helping the people of Syria.
Your’s sincerely,

Abdulrazaq Oyebanji Hamzat
