Rep Asks Aides to Beat Up FRSC Official Over Illegal Parking (Shameless lawbreaker)
House, Legislature Saturday, June 2nd, 2012It was a black Friday for a staffer of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC)Mr Jerry Jediel as aides of a member of the House of Representatives, Honourable Ibrahim Olaifa allegedly pummelled him for daring to lock up the lawmaker’s Toyota Camry V6 2011 model with registration number MHR 100.
The FRSC official had chained the lawmaker’s car over illegal parking and made for his duty post located within the National Assembly.
The lawmaker who had parked his car at the illegal space, reportedly dashed into the National Assembly complex to deliver a letter to the Speaker, Honourable Aminu Tambuwal.
Saturday Tribune’s attention was however drawn to the noise of the FRSC official who was being manhandled by the lawmaker’s aide allegedly under Honourable Olaifa’s watch.
Efforts by the onlookers to help the assaulted FRSC officials proved abortive as the lawmaker held Mr Jediel by his uniform, while his aides were beating him. Immediately he was able to free himself from his assailants’ grips they ran after him shouting “thief !, thief!!, thief!!!”
The assaulted FRSC official was caught at the lobby and was further man-handled to the extent that his uniform emblem was torn.wp_posts
