Same-sex marriage ’ll wipe out humanity – Adeboye

The General Overseers, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said same-sex marriage will wipe out humanity.

Adeboye spoke at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, during a thanksgiving organised by the Joint Christian Mission of the university.

A statement by the Head, Public Relations Department of the institution, Mr. Abiodun Olanrewaju, on Monday, said the cleric warned against the practice.

He said, “Same-sex marriage is an anathema to the will of God for human beings to be fruitful, replenish and multiply on earth. Anything contrary to that is evil.

“How can a man who marries a fellow man produce a child and how can a woman who marries a fellow woman produce a child?

“If this evil is allowed to stay, there will not be newborns again in the world. As the older generation dies, will there be a new generations to succeed it? Even plants and animals have new generations to succeed them.”

Adeboye called on people practising same-sex marriage to desist and flee from the wrath of God, warning that God frowns at same-sex marriage.

The cleric enjoined Nigerians to walk with God in 2013, saying that sin would hinder the growth of a country.

He urged Nigerian leaders to shun sins and said the country would be the better for it if her leaders exhibited uprightness and dedication.
