Senate stops FRSC’s new vehicle plates, licences
Legislature, Senate Wednesday, February 29th, 2012The Senate on Wednesday directed the Federal Road Safety Commission to stop the implementation of the new driver’s licence and vehicle number plates.
The Senate, which issued the directive at its sitting, also mandated its Committee on Federal Character and Intergovernmental Affairs to conduct a public hearing on the new scheme with a view to ascertain the desireability or otherwise.
The Senate said the scheme was causing untold hardship for Nigerians.
