Senator Causes Stir Over Dollar Spray at Sister’s Funeral

Senator Hope Uzodinma, representing Orlu senatorial district of Imo state, on Friday narrowly escaped mob action as he splashed dollars at the funeral of his younger sister, Professor Josephine Anagbogu in Anambra.

It took the intervention of security operatives to disperse army of youths who almost mobbed the legislator, while he sprayed in FOREX on other guests.

Immediately the Senator started spraying, the ceremony became rowdy and frenzy, as both the young and old onlookers, surged to the canopy and moved closer to him.

However, security men attached to the Senator had a tough time in attempt to whisk him into his car as the youths prevented him from leaving. However, the spraying continued after getting into his car and this attracted more crowd, including the security men who made for the money.

A young man who was lucky to grab a large catch of the money was almost suffocated as the crowd held him down in a bid to take part of it.

While some people blamed Uzodimma for such illegal show especially when the youths in his senatorial zone and state in general, are wallowing in abject poverty, others held that there was nothing wrong in the dollar harvest.

Another middle age man who craved anonymity, “said after all, the money he is spraying is the tax payers’ money so, the security men should allow us to grab our own share”wp_posts
