Senegal loses former World Cup star, Papa Bouba Diop
Headlines, NNP News, Soccer, Sports Tuesday, December 1st, 2020(NNP) – Senegal has lost its World Cup and former Premier League star, Papa Bouba Diop. The World Cup hero died at aged 42. His death was confirmed by the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF). Diop will be remembered as the scorer of the lone goal, the first of the tournament against defending champions France in the 2002 World co-hosted by Japan/Korea. He went on to bag two more goals in the tournament. Diop had 63 caps for his country. There is no word on the cause of death.
