Seven killed in Borno suicide attack
Borno, Headlines, State News Friday, May 5th, 2017Seven persons were killed on Thursday during a suicide attack in Konduga, a town in Borno, the police said on Friday.
A statement by the Assistant Public Relations Officer in charge of Borno Police Command, Murtala Ibrahim, said that two of the dead were suicide bombers while the other five were innocent citizens.
The statement read, “At about 22:45 hrs, two female suicide bombers detonated Improvised Explosive Devices strapped to their bodies at Mandarari ward in Konduga Local Government Area, killing themselves and five others.
“Six persons sustained various degrees of injuries. The corpses and injured persons were evacuated to the General Hospital, Konduga, and normalcy has been restored to the area.”
