Sudanese club hire ex Eagles winger, Emmanuel Amuneke, as coach
Headlines, Soccer Friday, November 10th, 2017Former Super Eagles winger Emmanuel Amuneke has been unveiled by Sudanese outfit Al Khartoum Watani on a two-year contract.
Tunisia ’94 Africa Cup of Nations winner Amuneke, who was unveiled after putting pen to paper on Tuesday, watched the Khartoum outfit lose 1-0 to Merreikh Nyala.
The former Barcelona player helped, who helped Nigeria win the Chile 2015 FIFA Under-17 World Cup, also coached the national Under-20 team.
Khartoum are sixth in the Sudan Premier League table with 46 points from 29 games – two points from the fourth spot with three games left to play.
Amuneke, who helped Nigeria win the Atlanta ’96 Olympic Games gold, has been saddled with the responsibility of helping the team secure a continental club championship next year.wp_posts
