Tokyo Olympics: Nigeria guaranteed medal as Oborududu qualifies for wrestling final

Team Nigeria now has a chance to clinch a medal at the ongoing 2020 Tokyo Olympics as Blessing Oborodudu has qualified for the women’s Wrestling Freestyle 68 kg gold medal contest.
Oborodudu qualified for the final after a semi-final victory over Mongolia’s Battsetseg Soronzonbold.
The Nigerian wrestler defeated her opponent 7-2.
Oborodudu’s qualification means that Nigeria is guaranteed at least a silver medal finish in the event.
She faces United States’s Tamyra Mensah-Stock who defeated Ukraine’s Alla Cherkasova in the other semi-final – in the final.
