Trump pays $3 million for vote recount that added more votes to Biden’s tally in Wisconsin

(NNP) The Trump campaign paid $3 million for recount of votes in selected counties in Wisconsin that yielded more votes for Biden. The recount added 87 more votes to Biden’s tally. The Trump campaign in other words paid $3 million to reconfirm Biden’s victory in the crucial midwestern state that was part of the blue wall won by Trump in 2016 by a margin of about 10,000 votes. Biden won the state by about 20,000 votes.

Since the elections were called three weeks ago for Biden, Trump has been in denial, making wild and unsupported claims of vote irregularities. He has stubbornly refused to concede and accept defeat. All suits filed to overturn the results have been either withdrawn or tossed by the courts in all the tightly contested states. On Monday, another tightly contested state, Arizona, certified its election results and gave all 11 electoral votes to Biden. Trump will leave office on January 20th despite his refusal to concede.
