Ugandan court orders MPs to refund coronavirus cash
Africa & World Politics, Headlines, NNP News Saturday, May 2nd, 2020(NNP) Ugandan MPs who thought they would be smiling to the bank, have been ordered by a court to return the cash they awarded themselves to fight the coronavirus pandemic in their constituencies. The cash was approved in the budget and was earmarked to be used for awareness campaign for the virus as cases in Uganda rise. Uganda was once the epic centre of the AIDS pandemic that has thus far claimed over 35 millions of lives. The country has 79 cases of coronavirus as of this publication.
