Unknown gunmen attack police station in Azare
Headlines Sunday, December 4th, 2011Azare (Bauchi) – Unknown gunmen on Saturday attacked the police station at Azare in Bauci State, destroying the station.
Eye-witnesses said the attack was led by heavily armed persons.
One of the witnesses said that a loud blast was heard, followed by sporadic shots of gun fire.
Officials of the Bauchi State Command of the Nigeria Police were not available for comments on the incident but a police source said that the command would brief reporters on the incident after preliminary investigations. (NAN).
