Xmas Day Bombing: Israel donates N2m medical items to victims

THE Government of the State of Israel, on Friday, formally presented medical items worth over N2 million to the Federal Government to assist in treating those injured during the Christmas Day bomb attack at St Theresa’s Catholic Church, Madalla, in Niger State.
Presentation of the items, on behalf of the Israeli government, was done by the Ambassador of the State of Israel to Nigeria, Mr. Moshe Ram.
The items were presented to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for onward distribution to the various hospitals where the bomb blast victims are currently receiving treatment.
NEMA Director of Relief and Rehabilitation, Mr. Edward Maigida who received the medical supplies which included dressings, consumables, infusions, medicines, pads and wipes on behalf of the Federal Government commended the State of Israel for the gesture.
Present at the event, which was held at the Embassy of Israel in Asokoro, were officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federal Ministry of Health and NEMA, representatives of the Catholic Diocese of Minna and Medical Directors in-charge of the hospitals where the victims are currently receiving treatment.
