Super Eagles’ skipper, Joseph Yobo, has moved to the United States of America with his family to celebrate the New Year before reporting to Nigeria for the Nations Cup preparations next week.
The Eagles’ captain, who was recently in the United Kingdom to pick his wife and son, Junior, before returning to Turkey to prepare for the American trip, has had meaningful discussions with Coach Samson Siasia when he visited Turkey with his assistant, Simon Kalika.
Yobo pledged to Siasia on behalf of his other teammates that they would give the coach 100 per cent support for him to succeed as Eagles’ new coach.
The former Everton defender is already enjoying himself by visiting his family friends, who have been longing to see him in the US.
Yobo is excited about the trip, as he may use the opportunity to visit Siasia and his family during the New Year day, as both parties may book their return tickets back to Nigeria on the same day.
The former Marseille player, who left the UK aboard British Airways to America, had vowed to win a laurel for Eagles under Coach Siasia. The player said he was ready to sacrifice everything to see that Eagles triumph during his time as the national team skipper.
Yobo promised to mobilise his teammates to give their best to the team in all their endeavours.wp_posts
