SSS arrests Ibadan printer with 7,000 ballot papers

 

Men of the State Security Service on Wednesday evening arrested a printer in Mokola, Ibadan,with about 7,000 copies of ballot papers.

The man, who was arrested in his printing press, was taken to the Mokola Divisional Police Headquarters from where he was later moved to the Criminal Investigation Department of the state police command for interrogation.

He was said to have made useful statements to the police on the illicit act.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Saliu Hashimu, confirmed the arrest to our correspondent on the telephone on Wednesday.

Hashimu explained that about 7,000 copies of the ballot papers, already printed, were caught with the suspect.

He said he expected his deputy, who was handling the case, to brief him properly on Thursday.wp_posts
