Ghana rule out Nigeria in World Cup

Nigeria slugging it out with Ghana at the AYC in South Africa - Nigeria won 2-1
An executive member of Ghana Football Association and head of the team’s delegation, Jordan Anagblah, has ruled out Nigeria from the possible winners of the AYC.
The Flying Eagles defeated the Black Satellites of Ghana 2-1 on Thursday but Anagblah was not convinced Nigeria’s performance was better than that of Mali and Cameroon, who have also qualified for the semifinals.
He said, “I think the winners will either be Mali or Cameroon. The other teams do not have players who are ready for big-time games like this.
“Cameroon and Mali have players who are more aggressive and competitive. They believe courage counts more than anything else.
“In the game between Cameroon and Ghana on Sunday, they Young Lions were down but they realised the result would put them in the second position so they fought hard to level score. That was courage, and if you assess the competition, only two teams have that courage – Cameroon and Mali.
“The Flying Eagles are like the Black Satellites, they are cowards. They play but they cannot carry the game to the opponents when the need arises. They could have won against Cameroon but they couldn’t raise their game.
“Nigeria and Egypt only qualified by divine intervention. If we need those who can sell the African brand at the highest level in the world, Mali and Cameroon can do it. Nigeria and the other teams should revive their teams by selecting players who are courageous and who want to play.”
