I’ll finish Black Meteors in Accra – Igiebor
Headlines Sunday, June 26th, 2011Scorer of Nigeria’s two goals at Saturday’s All Africa Games qualifying match between the Dream Team V and its Ghanaian counterpart, Nosa Igiebor, has said that it is not yet time for jubilation.
Speaking after the match played at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin, Igiebor noted that he is only seeing the match played in Benin as the first leg of the encounter, declaring that the match in Ghana will be the second half and the decider.
“To me, the match we played in Benin is just the first half of the match, the second half will be played in Ghana and until then, I do not see the job to have been completed.”
He noted that he has never played any Ghanaian side before now, stressing that scoring two goals in his first encounter with them is a thing of great joy to him.
“I have never played against the Ghanaian before now and I have always heard that they are always a difficult team to play. I am so happy that I scored against them.” Nosa Igiebor was voted the man of the match for his domineering display in the match.
